School Uniform Appearance
General Principles

In order to cultivate proper school culture and be proud of my school, I must strive hard to comply with the followings:

In order to make the school have a good and simple school spirit and make me proud of the school, I will:

  • wear plain-looking, fresh, clean and tidy school uniform, never be too trendy and wear accessories and make-up, neither tottoo nor put any pictures on the body. If it is necessary to wear some accessories for special reasons, eg religious reasons, parents / guardians should submit a written application in advance. Also, the approval certificate should be carried all the time so that teachers or prefects can check if needed.

We adhere to the principles of modesty, simplicity, and appropriateness in appearance and clothing. We refrain from seeking to be eccentric, trendy, or wearing jewelry or makeup. We also avoid tattoos and body stickers. If, for special reasons, we need to wear certain jewelry, I will ask parents or guardians to submit a written request to the school and carry a permit for inspection by teachers and supervisors.

  • hair should not be dyed, permed, and hair spray / gel / other styling should not be used. Hair length and hair style should comply with the school standard.

I adhere to the principle of simplicity and do not dye my hair, perm it, use trendy hair cream, or spray hairspray. I agree to comply with school regulations regarding hair length and hairstyle.

  • should wear the standardized school uniform. If attending special events organized by the school, students should wear tidy uniform with good appearance at any time, any places in school or outside school, including on the way back to school.

Wear appropriate school uniform. Wear neatly-dressed uniform and maintain good appearance at all times, including when travelling to and from school.


Summer school uniform

Boys:

  • Shirt: plain white, stiff regular collar, short-sleeves, no pleats, tucks or other patterns, with throat buttons but no collar point buttons, patch pocket without flap on left chest, and should tuck the shirt into trousers.

Shirt: pure white, stand-up collar, short sleeves, no pleats or other patterns, no buttons on the collar, buttons at the throat, no buttons or cover on the left lapel pocket, and should be tucked into the pants.

  • Trousers: plain white Dacron straight leg trousers, small slanted pocket, back welt pocket without flap and logo, and with appropriate crotch length, no pleats or tucks in front and at the back.

School trousers: pure white Dacron straight-leg long trousers, small slanted pockets, hidden pockets on the back, no cover or logo, moderate crotch width, no pleats in front or back.

  • School badge: should be sewed onto the shirt pocket, do not pin, snap, velcro or stick it on the shirt.

School badge: Must be sewn on the shirt pocket and cannot be buttoned.

  • Belt: Black with plain buckle. The buckle should be in appropriate width and limited to 25mm- 40mm.

Belt: Black, with buckle and plain pattern, moderate width, limited to 25 to 40 mm.

  • Sweater: When outdoor temperature is below 26°C, students are allowed to wear a sleeveless synthetic sweater. "SFCC" printed on left chest, two white strips around the collar.

Sweaters: When the outdoor temperature is below 26 degrees Celsius, students may wear a green faux fleece vest with SFCC printed on the left lapel and two white stripes around the collar.

  • Socks: White with no patterns or logos. The length must be above the ankle, do not wear ankle socks.

Socks: White plain socks. Must reach above the ankle. Boat socks are not permitted.

  • Leather shoes: Black, flat heels. Boots, pointed or with accessories are not suitable.

Leather shoes: Black flat-soled leather shoes. Boot-shaped, pointed-toe, or with accessories are not recommended.

Girls:

  • Skirt: white upper bodice and stripped light green lower bodice one piece dress at knee-length, waist belt buttons should be well fastened.

School skirt: A one-piece dress with white top and green stripes, which must be below the knee and both buttons on the waistband must be fastened.

  • School badge: should be sewed onto the left chest of the dress, do not pin, snap, velcro or stick it on the dress.

School badge: must be sewn on the left chest of the dress and cannot be buttoned.

  • Sweater: When outdoor temperature is below 26°C, students are allowed to wear a sleeveless synthetic sweater. "SFCC" printed on left chest, two white strips around the collar.

Sweater: Students may wear a green faux fleece vest when the outdoor temperature is below 26 degrees Celsius. It has the SFCC logo printed on the left lapel and two white stripes around the collar.

  • Socks: White with no patterns or logos. The length of socks must be between the length above the ankles and at half calf, do not wear ankle socks.

Socks: White plain socks. Length must be mid-calf. Boat socks are not allowed.

  • Leather shoes: Black, flat heels. Boots, pointed or with accessories are not suitable.

Leather shoes: Black flat-soled leather shoes. Boot-shaped, pointed-toe, or with accessories are not recommended.

Note: to look decent and pleasant when wearing the school uniform, boys should wear plain white brief and vest underwear. Girls should wear plain white lingerie and a slip, the length of under bodice should cover the waist.

Note: To maintain the appearance of the school uniform, boys should wear pure white underwear and a vest-shaped bra; girls should wear pure white underwear and a skirt, and the length of the underwear must cover the waist.

Unisex Sports uniform (sportswear for both men and women):

  • Top: white cotton round collar / polo shirt short-sleeves top, collar bound in the corresponding color of the House, vertical triple strips printed on both sleeves, House badge printed on the left sleeve, sleeve hems bound in color of the House, “SFCC” printed on left chest. The top should be tugged into the sports pants.

Top: White cotton short-sleeved, crew-neck/turned-neck top with club colors on the collar, printed stripes on the sleeves, the club crest on the left sleeve, club colors on the sleeve hem, and SFCC logo printed on the left lapel. Top must be tucked into sweatpants.

  • Shorts: Dark blue cotton with “SFCC” printed on left hem of the shorts.

Shorts: Dark blue, cotton, with SFCC logo printed on the left hem.

Note 1: when outdoor temperature is below 26℃, students are allowed to wear sleeveless synthetic sweater specified by school (buying it is optional), or wear track jackets on top of sports uniform.

Note 1: When the outdoor temperature is below 26 degrees Celsius, students may wear the school-designated faux fur vest (purchase is optional) or a sports jacket over their sportswear.

Winter school uniform

Boys:

  • Shirt: plain white, long-sleeves, stiff regular collar, no pleats and tucks or other patterns, with throat buttons but no collar point buttons, patch pocket without flap on left chest, and tug in the shirt.

Shirt: pure white, long sleeves, wind-pressed collar, no pleats or other patterns, no buttons at the collar tip, buttons at the neck and throat, no buttons or cover on the left lapel pocket, and should be tucked into the pants.

  • School badge: should be sewn on the shirt pocket, do not pin, snap, Velcro or stick it on the Shirt.

School badge: Must be sewn on the left pocket of shirts and jackets, not buttoned.

  • Neck tie: English school name printed on the tie.

Tie: Printed with the school name in English.

  • Trousers: gray flannel straight leg trousers, small slanted pocket, back welt pocket without flap and logo, and with appropriate crotch length, no pleats or tucks in front and at the back.

School trousers: Grey velvet straight-leg long trousers, small slant pockets, hidden pockets on the back, no cover or logo, moderate crotch width, no pleats at front or back.

  • Belt: Black with plain buckle. The buckle should be in appropriate width and limited to 25mm- 40mm.

Belt: Black, with buckle and plain pattern, moderate width, limited to 25 to 40 mm.

  • School blazer: For Winter- black cotton quilted jacket embroidered with the name of the school in white, black zipper in the front that can be attached on the gray long-sleeves fleece jacket (100% polyester), or wear separately. When outdoor temperature is 16 C or below, students are allowed to wear black or dark blue scarf. Also, students must bring along the school blazer to school and wear it during the morning assembly to keep warm.

*Students are allowed to wear the old school blazer(blackish green, double breast with plastic buttons, school badge sewed on left chest pocket) until 31th August, 2012.

School Jacket: For winter wear. This black padded jacket features the school name embroidered in white on the left chest and a black center front zipper. It can be buttoned over a long-sleeved gray fleece (100% poly) outer layer or worn separately. Students may only wear a black or dark blue scarf when the outdoor temperature is 16°C or below. Students must bring their school jacket to school and wear it during morning assemblies to keep warm.

*Students may wear the old-style school jacket (dark green, with reverse collar buttons and the school badge sewn on the left pocket) until August 31, 2012.

  • Sweater: Green pure wool with long-sleeves or sleeveless, white “SFCC” printed on left chest, two white strips around the collar.

Sweater: A green, pure wool, long-sleeved sweater or vest with white SFCC lettering on the left lapel and two white stripes around the collar.

  • Fleece polo-Jacket: Gray polo-neck sleeveless jacket (100% polyester), embroider with the name of the school in white on left chest, black open-end separator zipper in the front that can be attached on the sports jacket, or wear separately.

Turn-down collar vest: gray fleece (100% polyester) with white school name embroidered on the left chest, black movable head zipper in the center front and can be buckled on the sports jacket, or worn separately.

  • Socks: White with no patterns or logos. Length at half calf.

Socks: White plain socks. Must be mid-calf length.

  • Leather shoes: Black, flat heels. Boots, pointed or with accessories are not suitable.

Leather shoes: Black flat-soled leather shoes. Boot-shaped, pointed-toe, or with accessories are not recommended.

Girls:
  • Blouse: plain white, long-sleeves, stiff regular collar, pocket without button and flap on left chest.

Shirt: pure white, long sleeves, wind-pressed collar, left lapel pocket without button or cover.

  • Neck tie: English school name printed on the tie.

Tie: Printed with the school name in English.

  • Dress: gray flannel with v-shaped neckline one piece dress at knee-length, waist belt buttons should be well fastened. When outdoor temperature is 12 C or below, girls can wear inter sports uniform to school.

School skirt: A grey velvet vest dress with an almond collar. It must be below the knee and have the belt button fastened. Female students may wear winter sportswear when the outdoor temperature is 12 degrees Celsius or below.

  • School blazer: For Winter- black cotton quilted jacket embroidered with the name of the school in white, black zipper in the front that can be attached on the gray long-sleeves fleece jacket (100% polyester), or wear separately. When outdoor temperature is 16 C or below, students are allowed to wear black or dark blue scarf. Also, students must bring along the school blazer to school and wear it during the morning assembly to keep warm.

  • Summer sports uniform have to be worn under the Winter sports uniform.

Summer sportswear must be worn under winter sportswear.

  • Silverly gray woven track jacket, vertical green strips on both shoulders, sleeves and along the side seams.

Silver-gray woven sports jacket with green stripes on the shoulders and sides of the waist.

  • Woven track long trousers with zippers on both hems.

Woven track pants with zippers at the hems.


Other standards

Boys:

  • Hair style: short, reveal ears, hair below temples should not be longer than half the length of ears. Fringe should not cover eye brows, hair length should not be longer than the collar.

Hairstyle: Short hair, showing ears, sideburns should not be longer than half of the ears. The pubic hair should not exceed the eyebrows, and the ends of the hair should not exceed the collar.

  • Ear pins: Should not wear any ear pins or ear rings.

Ear acupuncture: Do not wear any ear acupuncture.

  • School bags: the acceptable size of the bag should be big enough for putting in an A4 size folder and with no accessories or decorations on it.

Backpack: The size should be large enough to accommodate an A4 folder, and no decorations should be hung on it.

Girls:

  • Hair style: Short hair style should be kept appropriate length. Fringe that is covering the eye brows should be clipped up the black or dark blue hair clips. Long hair up to shoulder length or longer should be tied up with black or dark blue rubber bands as one ponytail, hair bun or at their sides. Hair low temples should be tied up and showing the ears, other hair styles are not advisable.

Hairstyle: Short hair should not be too short. Hair that extends past the eyebrows should be secured with black or dark blue hairpins. Shoulder-length hair should be secured with a black or dark blue rubber band in a ponytail, bun, or double braid. Hair on both sides of the temples must be secured to expose the ears. Any other tying method is not appropriate.

  • Ear pins: Ear pins should be transparent. Girls should not wear more than one pin on each ear. Ear pins sould be worn on earlobes only.

Ear studs: Ear studs must be transparent. No more than one stud should be worn in each ear. Ear studs should only be worn on the earlobe.

  • Finger nails: Keep them clean. Do not keep them too long or have any decoration on nails, eg nail polish.

Nails: Keep them clean. They should not be too long or have any decorations, such as nail polish.

  • School bags: the acceptable size of the bag should be big enough for putting in an A4 size folder and with no accessories or decorations on it.

Backpack: The size should be large enough to accommodate an A4 folder, and no decorations should be hung on it.
