(a) To deepen understanding of society, the nation, the human world and the physical environment and the related knowledge connotations;
(b) consider contemporary issues that arise frequently and have been well-developed in different contexts (e.g. cultural, social, economic, political and technological) from multiple perspectives;
(c) become independent thinkers who are able to construct knowledge in response to changing personal, social, national and global circumstances, understand the complexity of issues, decision-making processes and challenges faced, make legally sound analysis and learn to deal with conflicting values;
