The 15th Hong Kong University MACHSAA Chinese History Study Awards Ceremony was held at the Huang Lisong Lecture Hall of the University of Hong Kong on the morning of December 21.
This competition is highly regarded in the academic community. Five students from our school were selected for interviews for the 2023-24 cohort, two of whom received third-place honors for their essays. Three received distinctions. The final selection results are as follows:
5B Liang Gangquan and 6A Zhuang Zhichun both won third prize in the high school group.
6A Chen Yuhan: High School Group Excellence Award,
4A Hu Huizi and 4A Wang Baohuan: Excellence Award in the Junior High School Group.
Alumnus Tsang Sin-yiu served as emcee and presided over the awards ceremony. A second-year student at the University of Hong Kong, she won first prize in her thesis and the Young Historian of the Year Award in the 2021-22/2022-23 academic years, earning her direct admission to the university and setting a positive example for her peers.
Graduate student Luo Zhishan also received the commendation award of this year's "Young Historian of the Year Award", and four people (Chen Anqi, Chen Jiamin, Xu Qiyuan, and Chen Guohao) received the commendation award for special project studies in the junior and senior high school groups.
